Visiting Scholar - Mechanical Engineering Kettering University

The NVH and Experimental Mechanics Laboratory (NVHEM) at Kettering University invites applications for an immediate visiting scholar position to help in developing a nonlinear model for multibody simulations. The project is sponsored by one of the major automakers in Michigan.

Applicants are expected to have hands-on experience and a strong track record in the field of MSC Adams simulation, MATLAB and C++ programming, and vehicle dynamics. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Automotive/Mechanical engineering or other relevant disciplines. The candidate should be a self-starter, motivated, and knowledgeable in the field.

The appointment will be for one year, renewable up to two or three years by mutual agreement. The position will remain open until filled, but the candidate is expected to join the team as soon as a successful interview has been completed. Kettering University can sponsor for J1 visa for qualified candidates.
