The International Workshop on Mechanics of Wood and its Applications in Wind Energy Technologies will take place 10-12 November 2008 in Dhulikhel, Nepal.
The Call for Papers is here. Abstracts are due by April 30, 2008.
The Workshop is organized in the framework of the Danish-Nepalese research project, funded by the Royal Foreign Ministry of Denmark/Danida program. The workshop will serve as a forum for sharing the latest research results in the areas of mechanics, micromechanics and strength of natural materials (first of all, wood), which have a potential for the use in wind energy technologies. Further, we seek to introduce local participants and other participants from the developing countries into the perspectives of wind energy, and the application of wood and other low-cost materials in wind energy.
