PostDoc position in Biomechanics at Graz University of Technology

A postdoc position as a University Assistant for 6 years, fully employed (40 hours/week), expected commencement of employment: February 1, 2023, at the Institute of Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology, Austria

Acceptance conditions: Completed doctoral study of engineering.

Job description:

·         Independent research in the field of modeling and simulation of soft biological tissues; the aim should be a habilitation

·         Acquisition of third-party funds (Austrian science fund, EU and/or industry)

·         Independent teaching in the winter and summer semester; Participation in the design and implementation of other courses at the Institute of Biomechanics

·         Co-supervision of bachelor, master and doctoral students

·         Administrative tasks

Requested Qualification:
Excellent knowledge in the area of mechanics, mathematics, and the implementation of models in (commercial) finite element software; experience in conducting independent teaching for students and  PhD candidates; experience in the organization  of research cooperations between universities, research labs and companies and of scientific meetings; partication in national and international research projects; fluent English is required.

Classification:
We offer an annual gross salary on a full-time basis of at least € 56,861. Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
