THE SOLID MECHANICS SYMPOSIUM

The Solid Mechanics Technical Committee of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) is pleased to invite you to submit a paper or an abstract on a variety of topics relevant to theoretical, computational, and experimental aspect of Solid Mechanics to the 2023 CSME International Congress. The congress will be held at the Université de Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke (QC) from May 28-31, 2023. Advanced architected materials, Building materials, Cellular solids, Composites, Metamaterials, Multifunctional and multiscale structures, 3D printed materials/structures, and Biomaterials are examples of the topics covered in this symposium. ABSTRACT/PAPER SUBMISSION

The submissions to the Congress are in two formats:

·           Abstract: 400-word maximum

·           Full-length paper*: 6-page maximum

* All accepted papers/abstracts will be scheduled for an oral presentation and published in the Conference Proceedings. Full-length paper submissions will be considered in the Student Paper Competition. Special issues in international journals will be announced later.

IMPORTANT DATES

·           January 15, 2023: Submission of Abstract/Full Paper

·           March 6, 2023: Notification of Acceptance to Authors

·           March 20, 2023: Submission of Final Paper (where applicable)

·           April 6, 2023: Early Bird Registration Deadline
