Two post-doctor positions at Zhejiang University, China

Postdoc positions are available in Dr Min Luo’s group (https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/minluo) at the Ocean College of Zhejiang University, China (ranked #45 in QS Global World Rankings 2022). Those holding a PhD degree in the areas of Computational Fluid Mechanics and Civil/Hydraulic/Ocean Engineering are welcome to apply.

1.    Project description

• Research topics: (1) CFD simulation of breaking wave and/or breaking wave impact on structures, by using particle methods or mesh-based methods; (2) Fast prediction of wave and current fields by machine-learning-assisted computations
• Duration: 2-3 years

2.    Essential criteria

• PhD degree in one of the following disciplines: Computational Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Civil/Hydraulic/Ocean Engineering
• Got the PhD degree in less than 3 years and with age below 35
• Established track record in high-quality scientific publications
• Evidence in research innovation and project organization

3.    Package

(1) Annual salary 200, 000 RMB (including the living allowance). A candidate satisfying the eligibility will be supported to apply for the Talent-Introduction Program with an annual salary of 300, 000 RMB (http://hr.zju.edu.cn/postdoctor/2022/0207/c29116a2497118/page.htm).

(2) Bonuses will be provided according to the work performance (e.g. publishing high-quality papers). Fringe benefits are subject to the relevant post-doctoral regulations of Zhejiang University.

(3) Postdoctoral research fellows can apply for research funding during their project work.

(4) Postdoctoral research fellows with excellent performance and outstanding academic achievements will be recommended to apply for academic positions in the university when they complete their contracts.
