I am looking for a PhD student in the area of solid mechanics. Some topics of interest are dynamic fracture and faulting, computational mechanics, wave propagation and mechanical metamaterials. My group's work is supported by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) and the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). Specifically, I am looking for aptitude/interest in the areas of applied mathematics and scientific computing. Students with background in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics can apply.
Selected students will get a stipend of Rs. 30,000 per month and free boarding and lodging.
