We have an opening for Graduate Research Assistant (at Ph.D.-level) to conduct research in areas related to innovative structural materials design and inverse characterization, specifically:

- New structural materials for energy storage applications, and
- Inverse characterization of chemo-mechanical process with multi-sensing data.

Successful applicants will have interest in working within an interdisciplinary team integrating experimental and computation methods, i.e. developing a data-driven computational modeling and analysis techniques by acquiring and post-assessing experimental data. A qualified candidate is required to have:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
- Creativity to develop novel experimental approaches and an interest in hands-on work, and
- Some experience in collaborative software development in Python (or C) with Git repository.

Research experiences in experimental methods to test concrete performance or computational mechanics such as boundary value problems, optimization or machine learning, etc. is a strong plus. The position will start Fall 2024, and US citizenship is preferred.

Please send CV to Profs. Hubler (Mija.Hubler@Colorado.EDU) and Song (jh.song@colorado.edu) for further questions.
