Ph.D. Opportunity in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at University of Oklahoma
Organization: School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, University of Oklahoma
Norman, Oklahoma, USA
Start date: Summer or Fall 2024
Descriptions:
Our research group has two projects for Ph.D. students.
Project 1 focuses on advanced manufacturing and development of high-performance piezoelectric sensor materials and composites. Advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing and thin layer coating, and electromechanical testing at multiscale will be applied. This is an interdisciplinary research in collaboration with national lab, other universities, and industrial company.
Project 2 focuses on biomechanics of ear, especially inner ear and cochlear mechanics under blast. The student will have opportunity to learn and develop his/her unique expertise on a one of a kind finite element (FE) model. We closely collaborate with a strong and well-established biomedical engineering lab in this project.
The University of Oklahoma is an EEO/AA Employer.
