About piezoelectric resonance.
For 31 mode piezoelectric plate. I have measured it's electric impedance spectrum (curve of Log IZI~ Frequency). I found that, when I used this plate for a piezoelectric sensor to receive mechanic signals. the maximum output occured at antiresonance frequency; For example, for piezoelectric hydrophone or receiving-type piezoelectric transducers, It works at antiresonance frequency (at the maximum electric impedance).
But if I used this plate as piezoelectric actouator for transmitting acoustic signals under electrical drive. It works at resonance frequency (the least electric impedance). For example. for piezoelectric motor, transformer and transmitting-type piezoelectric transducers. How to explain this phenomenan? what's the reason that the resonance frequency is more suitable for transmitting while antiresonance frequency is more suitable for receiving for piezoelectric plate? Can you give me some reference article or books? Thanks
