cancelling the effect of V notches and cracks in mode III, including strain energy density singularity
Dear friend
I have made a second round of the idea of "cancelling" the notch or crack singularity, this time also the strain energy density singularity, and for a mode III notch/crack, which makes things much simpler in closed form. This is also equivalent to cancelling size-scale effects.
You find the preprint herehttps://www.researchgate.net/publication/382367997 If you have an idea on how to work on this, either with graded material, or with the equivalent idea of grading the thickness (strictly speaking, we need an infinite thickness at notch/crack tip however), please let me know and we could collaborate.
