Pre / post processors for LS-DYNA
Mon, 2008-03-03 06:15 - Reuben Govender
What pre/post processors / front ends are other researchers using for LS-DYNA? Our research involves blast and impact problems, so we need to access Lagrange / Euler coupling. In addition we need to apply dynamic plasticity (Johnson-Cook etc) and composite material models.
My personal experience so far has been with ABAQUS / CAE - are there any DYNA front ends that offer a similar interface?

Pre / post processors for LS-DYNA
I work for an engineering consultancy, and we use the Oasys Suite of pre- and post-processors, which are used extensively in the automotive industry. Oasys is the software arm of my company (Arup). http://www.oasys-software.com/dyna/en/ I believe that there is a discount for academic users. The Suite can create simple meshes and modify existing meshes, but for full mesh generation you need something like HyperMesh or other meshing package.
