GEM Princeton NJ Opportunity -- Senior Research Engineer
Global Engineering and Materials, Inc. (GEM) is a high-tech firm that provides
consulting services and specialized FEM and multi-physics software tool
development for modeling, simulation & analysis of Fracture & Fatigue,
Reliability, Risk & Uncertainty, and Design & Optimization in advanced
engineering and material applications. GEM is actively seeking to fill a position in
our Princeton, NJ office. The ideal Candidate will have 2+ years experience with
an advanced degree in Engineering/Computational Mechanics or in a relevant
technical field. The candidate should have strong communication skills and work
well with others to accomplish team objectives. In-depth experience in
commercial FEM application, customization, and GUI design and implementation
is considered a plus.
Any combination of the following capabilities will be highly considered:
· Experience in FEM pre and post processing and using commercial finite
element tools such as ABAQUS, ABAQUS-CAE.
· Experience in developing user-defined modules for commercial FEM
software.
· Experience in GUI design, ABAQUS-CAE, and Python Script.
· Proficient in C++, scripting languages, object-oriented design; familiarity
with the common software development, testing/QA/bug management,
and software training procedure.
