I am Neil. Please suggest some good texts for Explicit Finite Element Method. I would like to start with the basics and then go in depth, so that i can start some simple coding.
I agree with Roozbeh, Wriggers's book is excellent. I just bought it 2 months ago and I found that the book is extremely clear and the notation is very good. I have tried other well known books on nonlinear FE, but now I am a fan of Wriggers,s book.
I also highly recommend the book Nonlinear Finite Elements for Continua and Structures by Belytschko, Liu, and Moran published by Wiley in 2000.
I started using this textbook while I was working in industry right after I had finished my undergraduate degree. I then went on to do a PhD in computational mechanics with Dr. Belytschko and I still find that this book very useful. I believe that it is a great investment.
Dear Neil, You could use
Dear Neil,
You could use the book of Prof. Ted Belytchsko entitled Noninear Finite element method for continua and structures.

Hi Neil, clearly written book on Nonlinear FEM
Hi Neil,
a very good and clearly written book on nonlinear FEM and actually my favourite is:
You can have a look at it first on google books.
