Open PhD Position for Chinese Students Residing in Mainland, China

I am currently seeking for Chinese PhD applicants (now residing in Mainland, China) to work in the experimental characterisation and numerical modelling areas of nanomaterials/polymer nanocomposites at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Curtin University of Technology, Australia. The specific research projects can be discussed in contact for the joint research interests.

 

 Academic Requirements: ME, MSc or equivalent degree (ME preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, Materials Science & Engineering, polymer/composites engineering, Applied Physics/Chemistry. Good academic achievement and research publications are essential. The familiarities with material characterisation techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM, AFM etc and finite element analysis packages like ANSYS. ABAQUS, OOF are preferred (not compulsory since on-going training will be provided).  

 

Scholarship: China Scholarship Council (CSC) –Curtin Joint PhD scholarship will be offered to the successful applicant including the return airfare, visa fees, international student health cover plus a living allowance with a combined value of AUD$20,000/year. The tuition fee for maximum 4 years full-time PhD studies will be waived as well. Applicant must be living in China and not currently working or studying abroad.
