Recently, I am trying to build a plastic contact model to describe teh relationship between the plastic deformation and the contact force, which is a crucial point in my work that dealing with the grasp force in robotics. I think i am also in the same boat as mike is. I am also trying to make use of contact anaylyis form scratch. I dont know how it works eventually i will be going to analyis the impact between composite materials. But for now if you have some tutorial or work done on a simple contact problem a 2D one or anything like that I will be very grateful to you if you can share that with me.

Well Mike my problem is not far from you but In my case I have to start the contact analysis ffrom scratch and than move on to impact analysis between two composite materials. But for now if you have some sort of tutorial which can help me start contact analysis that can even be as simple as a 2D problem. it will be very helpful.
