Open Source Software Repositories

I will be setting up an open source project for parallel finite element analysis in the next month or two. I am just wondering what the community's opinion is regarding the best repository to use.

SourceForge? Google Software? Others?

Your opinions are welcome.

In my openion, the best repository would be sourceforge.

SF has gotten some nice improvements lately and has wider support for licenses and VCS. It's the first place i look for open source code.

Googlecode is reluctant to add GIT-support, so I'm abandoning it for my newer projects.

Edit: Actually.. for less technical reasons, SF is starting to lose the OSS idea by blocking countries the US doesn't like. Googlecode as well. I'm considering moving my software to Alioth or Launchpad.
