I am very new to composites and abaqus. I am trying to model a solid composite plate with one layer using continuum shell elements. I am getting an error saying ERRmissing section.i HAVE ASSIGNED THE MATERIAL TO SECTION. But still that didnt helped me. In view of modelling, how does abacus treat plys or composites.Like in case of 100%fibers with one layer and with no fibers but with same material properties (example orthotropic engineering constant)will their be any difference in stress results in abacus. Please help me out. Also send me some tutorials for modelling composites in abacus.
