Abaqus 6.9 - Material Subroutine - Damage modelling

Submitted by philippe rohart on

Good afternoon everybody.

As this is the first message i write on this forum, I will first start to introduce myself.

I am a French student, preparing a master's degree in mechanics. This current period is devoted to a 6 months internship, and a part of my work concerns the modelisation on Abaqus of damage in composite materials.

In order to define materials behaviour taking into account damage, I will have to write a material subroutine, but I unfortunately did not find any example on the Abaqus help.

My goal would be to have a subroutine defining the plastic damage of a material, as simply as possible (damage defined as a scalar for example), enabling me to acquaint myself with UMAT subroutine on Abaqus, so that I can progressively modify it and adapt it to my subject.  So, by this message, I would like to inquire for information about websites where I could find such subroutine, or eventually possibilities of sharing it directly on this forum.

Thank you very much.
