Neet generation, generation not-not, generacion ni-ni, many terms one meaning!

I think I have spoken various times of this problem.

In Italy there was today an announcement that we have the biggest such problem in Europe.  See here .

When I search in wikipedia, I find various terms.

NEET in Uk, Japan, China, South Korea

an acronym for the government
classification for people currently "Not in Employment,
Education
or Training".
It was first used in the United Kingdom but its use has spread to other countries,
including Japan,
China,
and South Korea.

Generaction ni-ni in Spain.  Generazione né-né in Italy. There is some confusion in terminology, and not a unified treatment.

I wonder what is US doing for this, and in particular Universities?
