Applicationsare sought for a postdoctoral appointment in the research group of Prof. NancySottos in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Research will focus on in situcharacterization of thin film adhesion and interfacial failure of ultra thinfilms under dynamic loading conditions. The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical behavior ofthin films, optical methods, laser interferometry, and wave propagation. The ability to work in a highlyinterdisciplinary environment is essential, as there will be significantinteraction with researchers at the Beckman Institute.
