I have a question about defining the density for cohesive elements. My model is in Explicit so I must define the density for cohesive elements. The density for my part is 700kg/m^3. The elastic modulus for the part is 100MPa. The units are in SI system. I have determined all the other material parameters and they are reasonable. The peeling simulation works for cohesive density of .00163kg/m^3 but gives awry results for 50-1000 kg/m^3. I am guessing that the density of the cohesive elements should be near about the same or higher than the part density it is adhered to. Should the cohesive density be determined by calculating the density of the actual adhesive? I appreciate your help in this regard.
