Looking for Postdoctoral Position in Mechanical and Material Engineering

Mehdi Naderi's picture

I am looking for postdoctoral position in the field of mechanical and material engineering. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Louisiana State University, and expect to complete my PhD degree requirements by Jan. 2011.

My research are looks at the use of a relatively novel methodology for the fatigue and damage of structural components. In my research, I developed an effective and new criterion for fatigue life monitoring of the components subjected to cyclic loading based on thermodynamic approach using LABView programming. I have also worked on experimental and analytical investigation of fatigue damage using acoustic emission and infrared thermography in metals and composite materials.

I have strong practical skills in experimental investigations of the mechanical properties of metals and composite materials in the case of dynamic loading (low-cycle fatigue, high-cycle fatigue). During my research, I have been fortunate enough to work with fatigue test machines, non-destructive evaluation of fatigue damage (Acoustic Emission and Infrared Thermography Technique), and finite element software to model fatigue phenomenon.

Thank you very much for your consideration and looking forward to hearing back from you.

Regards,
Mehdi
