As a proud member of theAgency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Instituteof High Performance Computing (IHPC) was established in April 1998 toprovide leadership in high performance computing as a strategicresource for scientific inquiry and industry development. Ourmission is to advance science and technology, and develop leadingedge applications through high performance computing andcomputational science.

Weare looking for highly motivated individuals who are ableto work independently and yet good team players, possess excellentanalytical, technical and problem solving skills, good technicalwriting and presentation skills. Ifyou share our interests in solving challenging scientific problemsusing computational science and engineering techniques, we welcomeyou to apply for any one of the following positions.

 

Position:Research Fellow/Research Assistant

Projectname: ParticleErosion on Down-hole Equipment

Projectduration: January 2011 – December 2013

 

Job Description:

Candidate'swork will be focused on developmentand verification of erosionmodeling combining CFD flow simulation and physical erosion modelingapproach.

 

Requirements:

  • A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is prefered

  • A strong background in computational structural dynamics/erosion modeling

  • Good knowledge of numerical methods, (Finite element method,erosion modeling) and algorithms

  • Proficient in at least one of the programming languages: C, C++, Fortran
