PhD Positions in Elastic Metamaterials at University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The group of Advanced Materials and Ultrasonic Wave Lab at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking one highly motivated candidate for Ph.D. positions. The appointment is starting on August 2011 or January 2012. The research topics involve dynamic modeling, elastic wave propagation, experimental design and analysis of the multifunctional metamaterials with complex microstructures.A M.S. or equivalent degree in solid mechanics, wave propagation, or material science is needed.  Talented applicants with a B.S. degree in the above field will also be considered.Interested applicants are welcome to send a resume to Dr. Guoliang Huang (http://www.ualr.edu/glhuang) at glhuang@ualr.edu.
