Sixth M.I.T. Conference on Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics - Focus: Solids & Structures; June 15-17, 2011
Dear Colleagues,
The session organizers would like to invite researchers to contribute their work for a special session on “Impact Modeling of Composites” for the Sixth M.I.T. Conference on Computational Fluid and Solid Mechanics to be held in June 2011 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The session will focus on the recent advances in modeling of impact on composite structures. The topics addressed would include but are not limited to impact and blast loading, high strain rate modeling, dynamic failure and fragmentation, progressive damage modeling and numerical methods involving meshing and shock capturing relevant to the current problem. The full details including guidelines for submission are included in the fliers attached.
These abstracts will be published in a Book of Abstracts as for the earlier M.I.T. conferences. Authors of accepted One-Page Abstracts will be given the same amount of time to present as authors of full-length papers. The due date is 15th February 2011.
Thank you
