Context
As part of a collaborative project between
1) MSC Software Belgium SA,
2) SIRRIS and
3) University of Liège,
the main objective of the positions will be to develop numerical methodologies in the context of
1) Multi-scale methods
2) Stochastic approaches
3) Machine learning approaches
to predict the response of recycled thermoplastic composites.
PhD opportunity
The project will be supervised by Prof. L. Noels of ULiège (http://www.ltas-cm3.ulg.ac.be/), in close collaboration with the partners of the project. The position is that of a renewable (up to 4 years) 12-month research engineer starting in 2026.
Profile
The candidate should have a Master degree in (computational) mechanics, Material Engineering, or aerospace engineering with a solid knowledge in continuous mechanics and numerical methods. Good programming skill is an asset.
