The LEM3 at the University of Lorraine is seeking highly motivated candidates for a fully funded PhD position focused on the dynamic response of porous materials under successive shock loading. 

This project is conducted within an international collaboration involving University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M, Spain) and IMDEA Materials Institute. It combines advanced analytical modeling, numerical simulations (Abaqus), and experimental activities through international partnerships to investigate void closure, void re-opening mechanisms, and dynamic spall fracture.
