Calling VUSDFLD before VUMAT
I am trying to call VUSDFLD subroutine before VUMAT. I need to access some variables which are not available in VUMAT. Does anyone know how I can force ABAQUS into calling VUSDFLD before VUMAT? Thanks.

code error144 and umat isotropy hardening law
hello everybody
i want to develop a constitutive law for fiber reinforced composite. so i am using umat subroutine to simulate it in abaqus.
when i begin analysis i got error code 144.
my question is: is jacobian matrix DDSDDE can be to cause for this error??
and i read that i can use uhard subroutine for isotropic and combined hardening.
using this subroutine we can get yield surface from hardening curve, so we must enter some value in abaqus^material^(yield stress with corresponding strain)

Two different user-defined subroutines in Abaqus? Or, one user-defined subroutines with different material constants?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to (if it is feasible)
1. use Two user-defined subroutines in one system?
or, alternatively,
2. use One user-defined subroutine with different material constants for different regions in one system?
(ex. one region uses a user-defined subroutine with material constant 10 and the other region uses the SAME
user-defined subroutine but with different material constant, e.g. 20).
Thank you!

How to get the uncoupled natural frequencies
Hello Everybody,
A wing was simplified with 8 dumbbelss or concentrated mass. The weight of the 8 dumbbells are:
{W}=[1.240 1.050 0.964 0.862 0.733 0.628 0.634 0.457]T
The static unbalance is:
{SA}=[0.2680 0.2910 0.1810 0.1610 0.1220 0.0884 0.0854 0.0598]T
The moment of inertia is:
{IA}=[0.412 0.437 0.272 0.230 0.157 0.143 0.115 0.055]T

drying modeling in abaqus
Good morning
I'm working in Abaqus on drying modeling. Regards this i have two questions.
1)Drying modeling is possible in Abaqus
2)I would like to ask if it is possible for Abaqus to model drying how can i create automatic crack propagation in 2D or 3D
P.S. sorry for my english, i hope everything is clear enough to understand this post. i hope someone can help me.

A Field Theoretic Approach to the Quasi-Continuum Method
Dear Colleagues,
I wish to bring to your attention my recent work with Mrinal Iyer on a field theoretic approach to the quasi-continuum method to appear in Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids. Below is the abstract and attached is the preprint of the article. I will very much appreciate your comments and suggestions.
