Frequency response analysis for solid-liquid system with ABAQUS
Hello ABAQUS users!
Do you know how to simulate the resonant frequency for a diaphragm with a liquid medium below as in the figure with ABAQUS ?

Zhigang Suo , Allen E. and Marilyn M. Puckett Professor of Mechanics and Materials at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), founder and architect of iMechanica , has been honored with a Humboldt Research Award .
We invite applications for Ph.D. student positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Maryland NanoCenter, University of Maryland, College Park. We look for talented and motivated applicants interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in one of the following areas:
• Mechanics of inorganic/organic hybrid nanostructures in flexible electronics
• Mechanics of graphene-based nanostructures and nanomaterials
Requirements:
A post-doctoral research associate position is available immediately in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Maryland NanoCenter at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the area of multi-scale modeling (from atomistic, molecular, coarse-grained to continuum) of carbon-based nanostructured materials. Material properties of specific interest include mechanical and electrical properties, with special focus on deformation/failure mechanisms and bandgap engineering.
Hello all,
I would like to seek help on a topic on which I am slightly ignorant.
I do not understand the concept of non local damage and the internal length of the non local continuum as described by the well quoted paper of Pijaudier-Cabot and Bazant (1987) in continuum damage mechanics. So may I please ask the experts in this forum to please explain to me using some simple analogy.
Dear all,
According to polymer theory, the relaxation time depends on its length (or unit number), and there exist some relationships to describe such dependence. The smaller number of polymer units, the smaller the relaxation time of the polymer is. How to describe this via a simple model of visco-elastic springs?
hi all
i need more information about : Cell REV Gurson GTN PP Traction Curves ....
thx
Can anyone cite some resources for chatter vibrations...the google search results dont throw up good results...I need some thing that will explain the basics - mechanics, causes, measuring and control of chatter in machine tools!
