I am trying to simulate indentation process on stressed material. Problem is whenever I try to introduce initial stresses from SIGINI subroutine in axisymmetric model, to balance stresses, original stress field changes. When I do this in 3D model it works fine but for axisymmetric model as I cant introduce displacement control constraint at edge of axisymmetric, stresses relax towards the side of axisymmetric constraint.

Any idea or example of maintaining resdiual stresses in axisymmetric model thorugh SIGINI?

I am trying to simualet Indentation Hardness Testing in ABAQUS and feeling like that there is some problem in my model.

Whenever I try to plot load-displacement curves it gives me bumps in the curve. Any idea, what should I do?

Should I reduce mesh size, I have done but then it gives me error with step size and so on.,

How can we see load dipslacement cyrve of residual stressed material. I mean I m interested in extracting indentation properties from ABAQUS for material which has got some pre stress in terms of residual stress. What is procedure of assigning residual stress to some material in ABAQUS?

I want to simulate my indentation  results in ABAQUS for a berkovich indenter.

I am facing problems in modelling indnetre as rigid body and in defining master and slave surfaces in contact pair. Is there anty suitabale tutorial available or refrence file so that I can check where I am making mistake.
