Looking for Postdoc position in Mechanics

Hi, I am looking for the post-doctoral position in structural dynamics ( instability of the thin structures, shell theory,  composite structures, static and dynamic buckling of the shells). I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Nonlinear Mechanics Laboratory at Indian Institute of Tehnology Kanpur (India) where Dr. Pankaj Wahi and Dr. Sovan Lal Das have adviced my research for the past four years. My PhD thesis deal with the shell theory and dynamic behavior of the shell ( especially thin-walled circular cylindrical shells). I  have submitted my PhD thesis in June 2017.

Pre-stress modal analysis in ABAQUS for circular cylindrical shell

Dear all,

I am trying to perform a pre-stress modal analysis of a cylindrical shell in ABAQUS, and I am unable to transfer data from step-1 to step-2. Due to this
results are the same as the modal analysis of the beam without the
static force.

Anybody know the solution of this kind of problem, kindely let me know..

Thanking you in advance

looking for a PhD position

Dear all:

I am currently pursuing Master of Technology at Indian Institute of Technology,
Kanpur (India) in Mechanical Engineering department. In my masters thesis I am working on analytical and numerical (FE) analysis of dynamic buckling of thin walled circular cylindrical shells under fluctuating radial pressure. I am expecting to submit my thesis by the end of August, and after that I am planning for a PhD. I want to continue to work on the dynamic analysis of structure for my PhD thesis, and I am looking for a PhD position in some European or Canadian University.

Analytical buckled mode shapes of ring

Hi,

I am facing problem in finding the analytical exact buckling mode shapes
for ring. I have already found buckled shapes through ABAQUS, and now I
am trying to find the buckled shape through some analytical equation.
If anybody has some idea about it, so please let me know. Can it posible
to get the exact analytical equation for buckled shape of ring which
approximate match with ABAQUS result.

PhD admission

Hi

I am pursuing Master of Technilogy at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (India) in mechanical department. Currently, I am working at dynamic buckling of thin walled circular cylindrical shell under uniform radial pressure.  I want to go for PhD, if anywhere , anyone working at plate and shell theory and nonlinear dynamics and vibration and solid mechanics. Then please let me know. I will be thanksfull to you.
