PhD position available in systems engineering with support- George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia)

A PhD student is sought to perform research on systems engineering theory relying on the mathematics of probability theory, decision theory, game theory and social choice theory.  The student will be supported under an NSF grant in the Mechanical Engineering department of George Mason University and work with Dr. George Hazelrigg.  If interested, please contact Dr. Hazelrigg at ghazelri@gmu.edu.

PhD student position in Mechanical Engineering - George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA

A Doctorate student position is available for Summer/Fall 2018 in Mechanical Engineering. The applicant must have a master in Mechanical or Material Engineering or equivalent field. It is highly preferred that the applicants are specialized in solid mechanics. Knowledge in Surface Mechanics, Tribology and Additive Manufacturing is a plus.  The position is directed by Multiscale Contact Mechanics and Tribology Laboratory at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA. A Doctorate of Engineering (DE) student position is available for Summer/Fall 2017 in Mechanical Engineering. It is highly prefered that the applicants are specialized in solid mechanics and well-familier with finite element methods. The positions involves multi-scale modeling of friction at high temperature and are directed by Multiscale Contact Mechanics and Tribology Laboratory at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, USA.

Master student position in Mechanical Engineering - Lamar University, Texas, USA

Several Master of Science (MS) positions in Mechanical Engineering are available for Summer/Spring 2017. Full RA available for 1 student. The "out of state tuition" is waived for all of the addmitted applicant with $1000 scholorship annually. Depending on the availibility of funding and applicant criteria other arrangement may be made. The positions are directed by Multiscale Contact Mechanics and Tribology Laboratory at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, USA.
