Post-Doctoral Fellow in Electron Backscatter Diffraction Techniques

Submitted by moh22000 on

The University of New Brunswick’s (UNB’s) Marine Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (MAMCE) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow who has specialized in applying Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) techniques in the one or more of the following fields: Materials Science, Metallurgy, and Additively Manufactured Alloys. Experience with the electron microscopy of natural and synthetic metals combined with EBSD techniques is required, including sample preparation. The successful applicant will support ongoing research programs in two key areas:

Postdoctoral Fellow- Marine Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence

Submitted by moh22000 on

Applications are invited for an immediate  postdoctoral position within the Marine Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence at the University of New Brunswick. The candidate will perform research in the area of materials characterization of additively manufactured metals (aluminum or steels) developed through powder bed fusion techniques. The candidate will use several experimental techniques to characterize the 3D printed metals such as OM, SEM, EBSD measurements, fractography, and TEM.

Postdoctoral position in Multiscale Modeling and Experimental Characterization of Polymer Composites under High Strain Rate Deformations

Submitted by moh22000 on

Applications are invited for an immediate  Postdoctoral position within the Cognitive Performance Optimization Laboratory (COPOL) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. The candidate will perform research in the area of multiscale modeling and failure analysis of high-performance light materials such as Long Fiber Thermoplastic Composites under high strain rate deformations.
