NIH-supported PhD position in biomechanics, Worcester Polytechnic Instituite (WPI)

An NIH-supported PhD position is available in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Instituite (WPI). Our lab focuses on the health of the central nervous system, with projects on traumatic brain injury and surgical image guidance of spinal surgical procedures. The student will have freedome to focus either on computational biomechanics, experimetnal biomechanics, or medical imaging, or a combination of these elements. Our lab works closely with other engineers and clinicians. Students with a minimum of GPA of 3.5 are encouraged to apply.

positions available for PhD students, visiting students, or visiting scholars

We have PhD student positions available who are interested in soft tissue biomechanics of the brain. Work will involve developing sophysticated, yet efficient computational models of the human brain to study the mechanisms of brain injury. This work is supported by NIH grants.

In addition, we have openings for visiting students or visiting scholars who have their own funding to stay in the lab.

Interested applicants please contact: Songbai.Ji [at] dartmouth.edu

Post-doctoral Associate in diffusion tensor imaging/brain injury is available at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH

An NIH-supported post-doc position in traumatic brain injury, seeking candidates with expertise in diffusion tensor imaging to correlate neuroimage changes with model-estimated tissue-level brain mechanical responses.

Post-doctoral Associate in brain biomechanics, medical imaging

Post-doctoral Associate in brain biomechanics is available at Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH

Post-doctoral associate position at Dartmouth College

A post-doctoral associate position jointly funded by the NIH and NOCSAE is available at the Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College. This position will support research in biomechanics of the human brain in vivo and the mechanisms of traumatic brain injury in the context of sports-related concussion, using stereovision, image-analysis, and finite element modeling. Interested applicants please send a cover letter, CV, and a list of 3 professional references to Songbai DOT Ji AT Dartmouth.edu. This position will remain open until filled.
