How to import what i beleive is Ls-Dyna files with an extension (.k) in to Abaqus CAE 6,7 edu version?? . Any free translaters are available or can it be done with Abaqus itself ??

(metal forging) simulation using ansys. I am looking for
tutorials for simulating deep drawing.
I am glad to introduce VABS, a unique software tool for modeling of composite structures having one dimension much larger than the other two dimensions such as helicopter rotor blades, wind turbine blades, HALE wings, and bridges.
For fatigue life estimation (HCF & LCF), I am not sure which stress shall I consider i.e. max. principal stress or von Mises stress & what should be the criteria for selection of the same? Shall we be driven by material model (i.e. ductile or brittle) or mode of failure or some thing else?
Hello, does anyone know where I can find more information about the infinite finite element or way to couple BEM/FEM to solve the problem in infinite 3D domain? Moreover, what is the difference between using a very long/large finite element and an infinite element? Many thanks...
