Dear all,
We just got published a new work titled " EXPERIMENTAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT UNDER DIFFERENT CLOSE LOOP CONTROLLED PRESSURES AND DIE TEMPERATURES"
I imported my file as parasolid(x_t) to ansys workbench, But my model didn't show. I don't know that how should create it in ansys workbench.
Dear colleagues,
I am writing to invite your contirbution to the mini-symposium on failure and instability in soft materials and geomaterials co-organized by myself, Joshua White, Pencheng Fu, Nikolaos Bouklas, and Christian Linder for the upcoming ICCM conference at Berkeley. The deadline for submission has extended to April 15th. More information can be found in the URL listed below.
Dear all,
I am starting to use VFRICTION subroutine in ABAQUS. But the manual examples are very simple.
To start, I would like to implement the friction law that already exist in ABAQUS(penalty e.g.) to see how this subroutine works.
I do come across the ABAQUS Technical notes about subroutine FRIC in standard which explained the implementation in detail. I wonder if someone happen to know whether similar technical notes exist for VFRICTION in explicit or have experience working on VFRICTION before?
Any help will be very appreciated.

Hi, I am looking for the post-doctoral position in structural dynamics ( instability of the thin structures, shell theory, composite structures, static and dynamic buckling of the shells). I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Nonlinear Mechanics Laboratory at Indian Institute of Tehnology Kanpur (India) where Dr. Pankaj Wahi and Dr. Sovan Lal Das have adviced my research for the past four years. My PhD thesis deal with the shell theory and dynamic behavior of the shell ( especially thin-walled circular cylindrical shells).
Description
(1) Computational mechanics and multiphysics modelling of relevant areas, e.g. smart soft matter, bio-fluid and cell in microfluidics
(2) Supervision of undergraduate students
(3) Technical support to the team
Requirements
1) Bachelor/ Master degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering or related fields (2nd upper and above)
(2) Strong background in physics and solid/fluid mechanics
