Call for nominations for the 2026 International Society of Materials Modeling Awards and Honors

The International Society of Materials Modeling (ISMM) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2026 ISMM Awards and Honors.

Nominations are now open for:

1) Distinguished Career Achievement Award in Materials Modeling: Recognizing outstanding, sustained contributions to materials modeling over a distinguished career.

Past recipients:
William A. Curtin, Jr., 2022
Jörg Neugebauer, 2024

2) Early Career Investigator Award in Materials Modeling: Recognizing a promising early-career researcher whose work has already made a significant impact in materials modeling.

Past recipients:
Yinan Cui, 2022
Corey Oses, 2024

3) Fellow of the International Society of Materials Modeling: ISMM is also launching its first class of Fellows and Senior Fellows. This new distinction recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to materials modeling and have provided significant service, leadership, mentorship, and community-building within the international materials modeling community.

The nomination deadline is August 15, 2026.

Full nomination instructions and eligibility details are provided in the attached award documents.

We encourage members of the materials modeling community to nominate outstanding colleagues for these Society honors.

Awardees will be honored at the 12th International Conference on Multiscale Materials Modeling (MMM12
