Postdoctoral Research Position in Computational Inverse Problems at Cornell

Submitted by wilkins aquino on

Candidate sought for developing computational tools to solve inverse problems related to the identification of viscoelastic material properties in arterial vessels through non-contact ultrasound. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in computation, solid mechanics, and optimization. Familiarity with inverse problems and statistical learning methods is an advantage but not a requirement.  This is a valuable opportunity to work with an active, multidisciplinary research group on important biomedical inverse problems with new computational methods.  The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with leaders in the field of medical imaging from the Mayo Clinic Ultrasound Research Laboratory.
