Regarding abaqus

hello..can we install the abaqus software with window7...plz tell me...???

you must have abaqus 6.10 or 6.9EF  (http://www.simulia.com/support/sup_systems_info.html)
 
 If u have 1 of this version follow this steps to install it
install HTML documentation first from CD2
1. edit Crack\license.dat (from CD1) 
replace host-name by your pc name 
save license.dat to a temporary folder eg: c:\new folder 

2. set System Environment Variables (in Control Panel-->System-->Advanced-->Environment Variables) 
Variable name : LM_license_FILE 
variable value: 27011@your pc-name 

3. Install Abaqus license server, select "just install licensing utilities" 
3.1 copy and paste license.dat from the temporary folder to c:\ABAQUS\license\ 
3.2 use lmtools.exe to config the license-server 
Service/license File-->Tick the Configuration using Services option 
Config Services tab -->Service Name-->type in any name eg: abaqus 
Path to the lmgrd.exe file--> C:\ABAQUS\license\lmgrd.exe 
Path to the license file----> C:\ABAQUS\license\license.dat 
Path to the debug log file--> C:\ABAQUS\license\license.log 
tick Use Service option 
tick Satrt Server at Power Up 
Clic Save service button --> clic Yes 
3.3 Start/Stop/Reread 
clic Start Server button to start up the license-server 
3.4 Server Diags 
clic Perform Diagnostics to see if the license-server is up and running O.K. 


4. Install Abaqus Products --> input 27011@your pc-name when asked for a license server.

Hi ,

 

i followed all the steps but still cannot install the licence.it is writting " the licence cannot be checked. did anyone succeed to install it?

please help.
