You can change the incrementation in you steps. If you use the GUI just go to the step you want to change your incrementation from and edit the options for this step. You can choose minimum and maximum values, starting values, but also you can fix the incrementation step. For pdf manual on abaqus just look on the internet. The manuals go with the name analysis I think. Search for Abaqus manual analysis and you will probalby find them.
