APDL for moving heat source in welding

Dear All,

               I am working on the topic of residul stress controlling using FEAFor this I have stuck up in moving heat source and Element Birth and death technique.So please any body is having the some examples on the said topic then its my heartly rrequest to share it with me............My plates are butt welded with size 200x100x12 in size............

and search the forum archive for the terms "laser" and "welding". There is at least one posting from me on the subject.

Moving heat sources can be modeled using the subroutine DFLUX.

"ELEMENT DELETION" is available in Abaqus Explicit:

User's Manual 23.8.1 User-defined mechanical material behavior

I cannot advise you on element birth techniques.
