A FE code with large deformation contact capability and large elasto plastic analysis in Henky strain

aslan mohammadpour's picture

Hi every one...

I finished my master in mechanical engineearing about eight month ago ... and in my Master career, I wrote a Fortran Finte element code with capabality of  mortar cantact analysis[1,2] and rate independent plasticity with kinematic and isotropic hardening and with large deformation capabilty for isotropic materials[3,4]. My code converges very well and I achieved quadratic convergence and I didn't use any comercial Fe packages like ansys and abaqus .....

there are two samples here for you,the example shows a cylindrical die is pressed into the slab and then slid over the surface:
(1) Mooney-Rivlin material with frictional contact
(2) Armstrong-type kinematic hardening model with henky strain and frictional contact

Can you shear your work or code? If you just need some motivation, maybe you can try to calculate the following reference example, and print your results here. (Not just beutiful pictures.) It would be a great work!

hi, thanks for your interest ....

The code is not documented and is not for public use since it is written for my own use and hard to understand, however it can be editted and rewritten for other softwares....(if your question is the code can be shared? The answere is "yes, but for just specific cases")

I can calculate the examples in your refrence but my code is just for 3D and self contact is not implemented yet since it was not my thesis interest .... but self contact can be added to my codes in just few weaks ...

"print your results here" do you mean in this forum? or somewhere in http://www.code-aster.org

Do you know what is the benefits of sharing codes with a company like Code_aster?

It‘s alright if it is not yet shared.

The example of the mentioned referece has nothing to do with self contact.Just some picture is not enough. If you can write it in a paper, oder at least proof the correctness of your code in this forum, it will be a great job.

thanks a lot for your guide .... you are right I should present it in more academic way and some pictures are not enough. The paper and the site you suggested me was great and gave me some good ideas ... I appreciate your suggestions and comments ...
