problem with local coordinate system

Submitted by Intissar on

Hello,

I have imposed a BC (in a local coordinate system) at a node and also imposed a load (in the global coordinate system) at that same node. When I go to submit the job, I get the error message: "Following attributes are applied to overlapping, intersecting, or adjoining regions in differing coordinate systems:...". Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks

Why would you apply a displacement BC (assuming that so), and a force at the same node in the first place.

You may only apply one or the other to avoid a conflict.

Thanks for ur reply!

well i have to apply a symmetry BC to the model and a concentrated force on a node belonging to the edges submitted to this BC !both are interesting .In fact i 'm  searching about it right now and what i get is that i have to transform the nodeset in wich is applied the concentrated force to the local coordinate system ...things including *transform keyword  but still don't know how to do it !have any idea about it plzz

Regards
