Altair is seeking a Software Engineer to assist in the development of OptiStruct, a commercial finite element code mainly involved in the structural dynamics and acoustics domain. The candidate will be mainly responsible for writing software in Fortran and C++. It is also desirable for candidates to be familiar with the noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) arena. Responsibilities:
- To derive mathematical formulation mainly in finite element method.
- Must be able to program with Fortran and C++
- Handle large code and design code day to day basis.
- Software testing and debugging.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in small teams with little or no supervision is a must
Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong knowledge in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Structural Dynamics.
- Programming knowledge with Fortran and C++.
- Sound mathematical knowledge.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Knowledge of HyperMesh and Optistruct products preferred.
- Must be a team player.
