I am studying crack simulations.I am familar with ansys,and i know franc3d files could output into ansys files ,but i don't know how. I just get .fem files from franc3d. But how could .fem files be read into ansys? Could anyone give me some details? I'll be very grateful.

I read all the realative pdf
I read all the realative pdf files in the web you mentioned, but i still can't find the answer. could someone give me a hand ? just how to read franc3d files into ansys

I think the best bet would be to contact someone like Bruce Carter at http://fac.cfg.cornell.edu/~bruce/index.htm (if he's till there) and ask him. Once you've found the solution please post it here for the rest of us.

HOW i can install cygwin ?
I download it from the link : www.cygwin.com
Then i choose install from internet , I selcect all install package , then i click on next , when getting file finished , I run it agane and select install from local hard ,
is it wrong ?? please help me
