Hi All
I am trying to use Shell181 elements to model carbon/epoxy unidirectional composites. When tried to use anisotropic material model ansys wants me to enter coefficients D11 to D21. I am not sure how to calculate the value of these coefficients or where to get their value from. Some help in this regard will be much appreciated. Thank you

Your material can be easily
Your material can be easily modeled with orthotropic material model instead of using anisotropic in ANSYS. You will have to input Elastic Moduli, Poisson's ratios and Shear Moduli instead of D11 etc coefficients.
