Ph.D. positions available at McGill University
Opening for two Ph. D. candidate positions, starting as early as January 2012, are available in the general area of Computational Mechanics and Materials Science in the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering at McGill University. The relevant applications of our research include, but not limited to, Nanotechnology, Energy Storage and Auto/Aerospace Material Design. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong background in the field(s) of Solid Mechanics, Materials Science and Solid State Physics. Previous experience in programming (e.g., c/c++, FORTRAN, etc.) is a plus but not required. Selection will be based on the applicant's academic performance and track record.
