need help in ansys
sir,
I need to find out kinetic energy of the element in the harmonic analyis problem of a plate.
i am using ansys command...in /post1
etable,KE,KENE
but no data is stored on the lable KE
please help and suggest some other means to do the same...or the correct method of issuing this command ..

PRETAB command
hi Dileep,
For displaying the results from the stored table, you can issue
pretab,KE
command after the etable command.

Sir, actual problem is that ETABLE command is not able to store results ..after issue the PRETAB command..it shows..item are not stored in the ETABLE..
Sir, what are other method by which i can do store Kinetic energy of elements for a particular frequency/Time in Harmonic Response.

May try out PRESOL
May be you can try PRESOL
e.g. presol, kene
Also another command that may be tried is ESOL.
e.g. ESOL, 2, ELEM=P, , kene,
where
2 is an arbitrary reference number for the variable
ELEM=P is to enable graphical picking of the element (valid in GUI)

i am a mtech student specializing in marine structures. my 2nd year project is Dynamic analysis of Cylindrical Structures for which i have to use ansys. i am very new to working in ANSYS. can anybody help me as to how can i model a pile group of 4 piles of dia 1.2m with pile cap of about 1m in ansys. which element i hav to choose. please help me.
