Purdue University is actively recruiting for a Software Engineer in the Center for Prediction of Reliability, Integrity and Survivability of Microsystems (PRISM).  As a Software Engineer you will create solutions to meet advanced computing needs by designing and developing applications that require high performance and distributed computing resources, scientific datasets, web and internet technologies, and graphical user interfaces.   The successful candidate(s) will work on large-scale multi-resolution, multi-physics simulations of microsystems. The efforts will involve developing and implementing new methods for multi-resolution simulations on high-performance computing platforms for predictions with quantified and minimized uncertainties. The PRISM center is headquartered at Discovery Park in Purdue and new team members will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of experimentalists and theoreticians in academia, industry and national labs. Qualifications: a bachelor’s degree and three years software design and development experience. Experience should also include programming and high-performance computing; as well as a strong background on continuum mechanics and or multi-scale materials modeling. Desired qualifications: a doctorate in Physical or Computer Science or Engineering.  Please visit our website to apply online: http://purdue.taleo.net/careersection/wl/jobdetail.ftl?job=169620&lang=en&sns_id=mailto. Purdue University is one of the nation's premier institutions with more than 200 areas of undergraduate study and renowned research initiatives.  Purdue's undergraduate and graduate programs rank among the best in the country.
