Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant positions are available for Fall 2014, Spring 2015, or Fall 2015 in the Mechanical Engineering department at Virginia Tech. The research direction may be related to any of the major topics explained in Multiscale Mechanics of Advanced Materials. A solid background in mechanics of materials and theoretical, computational or experimental solid mechanics is necessary. Prior research experience in computational materials modeling, multiscale modeling, atomistic simulations, parallel computing or programming is a plus.
